Our client based in Essex is a well established business with an excellent reputation for the quality of their product range.  They are currently looking for a Technical Author to join their team reporting directly to the Head of Marketing. The Company are seeking a reliable individual with good writing and proofreading skills to assist the in-house authoring department with technical authorship of O&M manuals, for a wide range of and existing products.
In this role you will be required to work across a variety of product-related content, including:

• Operations manuals
• Maintenance manuals
• Datasheets

Desired skill set:

• Highly motivated, flexible, professional and dynamic, with excellent team working skills
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A team player
• Working knowledge of Framemaker 
• Experienced in technical authorship preferably in similar safety type consumer products requiring compliance with national and international standards
